Only the finest, hand-harvested grapes are used to produce Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino. To ensure the best quality possible, yields are limited to two and a half tons per acre. After completing malolactic fermentation to add velvety texture, the wine was aged in large oak casks (792-1,585 gallons) for about 36 months, which is 12 months longer than required by Italian law. The wine rests another six months in stainless steel tanks, is bottled, then ages an additional eight months before we release it.
