The Dufftown distillery was converted from an old oatmeal mill in 1896 and still proudly stands in the same spot today. The Singleton of Dufftown™ is a deep gold in color and, on the nose, has toasted nut and rich fruit aromas. If you add a touch of water to the Singleton of Dufftown, it would bring out the classic Speyside sweet-fruit aromas. One the palate, there is sweetness and flavors of crunchy nuts followed by a smooth fruity richness. It is the smoothest of the three whiskies in the Singleton family. The Singleton of Dufftown was built during the reign of Queen Victoria.
