Baron Philippe de Rotshchild Mouton Cadet Rouge

Aspect: an intense vermillion red with a slight crimson tint. The nose opens on aromas of ripe fruit notes to the fore, especially blackberry, Burlat cherry and bilberry, along with a touch of mild spice. A rich and smooth attack which expresses all the fruit on the nose leads into a full mid-palate with hints of cinnamon and a round, powerful finish and a round substantial and very well-rounded tannins.

Baron Philippe Mouton Cadet Reserve Medoc Rouge

A glittering, deep garnet red. The nose opens on subtle blackcurrant notes before giving way to blackberry and mild spice flavors, especially star anise and vanilla. The powerful attack on rich tannins shows nicely extracted fruit while the concentrated mid-palate recalls the aromas found on the nose. The finish expresses the Medoc terroir in delicate touches of blackcurrant which combine perfectly with the refinement of the tannins.
